Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university.
- Eight (8) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Four (4) years of Talent Acquisition experience working with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Consults with the SVP, Global Talent, to set strategic direction for executive recruiting.
- Partners with the VP of Talent and Performance Management to gain insight and data into executive-level talent acquisition needs based on succession and talent review outcomes.
- Partners with VP, Global Talent Acquisition, on strategic workforce planning processes to ensure proper integration.
- Defines role requirements, identifies candidate profiles and capabilities, and aligns recruitment strategies with organizational goals.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external search firm vendors to optimize executive talent acquisition strategy.
- Conducts external research and sourcing to develop custom pipelines and perform some candidate calling to solicit interest in 3M.
- Conducts thorough candidate assessments, including initial screening interview or candidate interview preparation.
- Facilitates interview debrief sessions.
- Actively engages with executive candidates during the selection process, providing a superior candidate experience and fostering 3M’s reputation in the marketplace.
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to manage the end-to-end process.
- Continuously evaluates and enhances recruitment processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience, leveraging technology and analytics where applicable.
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitor talent movements, and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations for talent acquisition.
- Regularly updates and reports to senior leadership on recruitment progress and metrics.
- Assesses, designs, and builds strategic workforce methodology and plans for executive roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in executive recruitment, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices and vendor management.
- Proven track record of successfully placing executive-level candidates.
- Experience working in multinational environments with global processes and matrix structures.
- Ability to strike the right balance between speed/flexibility and process/compliance.
- Ability to engage in strategic business matters at both the conceptual and tactical levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships at all levels.
