Requirements
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in design, deployment and performance optimization of large Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS, including networking load balancing, ingress controllers, node group management and workload orchestration.
- Proficiency in optimizing FSx for Lustre and EBS performance for latency-sensitive applications and managing storage costs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems with relentless focus on resiliency improvement.
- Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go for automation of CI/CD and SRE tasks.
Responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of AWS large-scale distributed systems capturing billions of real-time messages daily and computing eTrading analytics and signals.
- Automate provisioning of AWS multi-region network, compute and storage services that non-disruptively support eTrading activities 24×7.
- Enforce quantitative driven approach to proactively monitor performance, capacity, latency and cost of AWS-hosted solutions during routine and extra-volatile market events.
- Provide cross-functional leadership in building microservice-driven API to tech teams producing and consuming, on-prem or cloud-natively, the AWS-stored data.
- Pilot emerging technologies that help quants, traders and sales explore petabytes of stored data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with vector or timeseries databases such as KDB.
- Familiarity with building Datadog real-time dashboards
- Experience with managing SageMaker workflows.
