Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years in an administrative support role or related experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Programs
- Initiative to work independently and anticipate executive needs, deal with confidential information, and handle pressure/deadlines easily
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, phone skills, planning, prioritizing, and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to accommodate changing workload and multiple priorities
- Demonstrates an optimistic and approachable work style, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages open communication and collaboration
- Exhibit strong customer service skills and an attitude that exhibits flexibility to meeting business needs
- Ability to learn basic reports and queries with internal Emerson tools
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administrative needs of the leadership team including managing schedules drafting communications and managing executive’s calendar, email and phone
- Provide excellent customer service while performing administrative tasks for the department leadership
- Plan and make prompt and accurate travel arrangements, including updating passports and/or visa documentation for worldwide travel
- Generate, code, scan and file expense reports
- Consolidate and prepare necessary meetings and conference materials for participants
- Organize and arrange global functional area events and meetings including visitor logistics. This may require working with peers around the world using phone and email communication, as meetings are conducted in all world areas
- Coordinate all visitor logistics including managing the foreign national visitor process for the assigned department
- Communicate professionally while representing the company with coordinating on-site recruiting activities; including invitations, interview schedules and travel arrangements for candidates
- Set up new hires by interfacing with multiple departments to coordinate security access, phone/headset, computer setup and training plan
- Periodically assist with backup of the Receptionist role
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in an Office Careers program strongly preferred
- Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) preferred
- Experience supporting executive level leadership preferred
