Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in esports management, sports management or a related field
- 1+ years of relevant experience (volunteer, competition and/or professional)
- Knowledge of various esports titles including, but not limited to, League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. and Valorant
- Understanding of tournament formats and esports competition structure
- Familiarity with Discord communication application
- Proficient with technology and communication applications
- Available some nights and weekends
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to grow the program, bring in new students and reach recruiting goals set by the Athletic Director
- Instruct esports student-athletes on aspects of esports competition, including game strategy, teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and leadership
- Coordinate coaching staff
- Develop coaching plans and practice schedules for teams
- Oversee esports scheduling and events such as practice, scrimmages, conference matches and tournaments
- Seek out competition and opportunities
- Manage team academic requirements and standards
- Manage esports facilities and equipment
- Develop strategic partnerships
- Manage esports budget
- Coordinate uniform orders
- Identify corporate sponsors
