Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business, with a focus in accounting or finance
- Completed no less than 3 senior level accounting and/or financial analysis courses
- Grade point average above 3.5 preferred
- At least one year of experience in an analytical or financial role required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Research skills
- Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
- Ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Collecting, evaluating, and applying statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets
- Analyzing and synthesizing researched data and presentation of trends and ideas
- Formulating and issuing opinions and recommendations on securities and companies
- Preparing reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data
- Answering inquiries from firm personnel regarding individual securities or industry groups
- Preparing and disseminating special studies, models, forecasts, and/or presentations
- Interviewing company executives or industry leaders
- Maintaining company databases using spreadsheet and database software
