Equipment Support Technician

Vocational diploma, technical degree, trade certification, associate degree in a related practice, or equivalent military experience
Three or more years of relevant experience
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to client locations and other Barr offices
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different people
Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future

Fulfill equipment and vehicle-related requests using asset/vehicle management platforms
Prepare and ship equipment to project sites and laboratories
Maintain Barr’s expendable/consumable supplies and tools and organize warehouse spaces to accommodate equipment and field needs
Troubleshoot, maintain (e.g., minor repairs, install updates), and calibrate equipment to comply with internal quality standards
Identify, tag, and document inspections and calibrations using asset/vehicle management platforms
Act as the subject matter expert on all things equipment-related; conduct equipment-related orientation, research equipment and PPE options in alignment with project needs and compliance, and collaborate with safety staff
Assist with maintenance activities for company vehicles including visual inspections, cleaning, tool inventory, and vendor management
