Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in grant, program, or project management, preferably in a government or academic setting focused on public health
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, business, or a closely related field
- Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza/COVID; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the ELC Project Director and the Daily ELC Point of Contact by analyzing requirements, recommending goals and objectives, and working with program staff to ensure the development and implementation of workplans as approved by the ELC Governance Team and Department leadership
- Prepare administrative, operational, and/or statistical reports on program and grant-related activities as required by Department management
- Monitor and ensure timely compliance with relevant federal regulations and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with grants management staff to compile and submit applications and renewals, obtain board approvals, and plan and execute other grant processes. Create, manage, and organize documents for upload to Grant Solutions and ELC CAMP
- Work with finance, purchasing, and contracts staff to draft Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement instruments to establish sub-awards for services to support the ELC project
- Participate in a cross-functional team of staff specifically assigned to support other aspects of the administration, implementation, and evaluation of the ELC project
- Responsible for other routine administrative tasks associated with the ELC project, including supply orders, scheduling meetings, creating agendas, sending out meeting minutes, managing recordings, etc.
- May represent the program and the Department at meetings and related events
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health, public administration, business, or a closely related field
- Three or more years of professional experience in sponsored programs or project management, preferably in a government or academic setting focused on public health
- Experience working with Federal and State reporting systems, such as Grant Solutions, ELC Camp, REDCap, PHIVE, and NIH eRA Commons
