Requirements
- Technical School certification from an accredited program in Health Science, Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field required
- Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or related field required
- 0-2 years of experience in an electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization lab required
- Proficient in electrophysiology procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and ACLS protocols
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety protocols
- Ability to effectively operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology equipment
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- BCLS – Basic Life Support required
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
Responsibilities
- Assists the Electrophysiologist and Cardiology team during electrophysiology procedures, performing scrub, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating duties
- Monitors and assesses patient status, managing cardiovascular hemodynamics, and initiating Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocols as necessary
- Operates and troubleshoots electrophysiology equipment, including cardiac stimulators, ensuring proper setup and functionality for each procedure
- Provides pre- and post-procedural patient care, including assessments and instruction to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Demonstrates proficiency in radiation safety protocols and maintains a thorough understanding of interventional supplies, anatomy, physiology, and equipment operation
- Recognizes and resolves equipment issues promptly, maintaining accurate records and images in the electronic health system
- Assumes on-call responsibilities as required and assists in maintaining procedural room readiness
- Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
- RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist preferred
- RCVT – Registered Cardiovasc Technologist preferred
