EOD Trainer

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the US Military
• 8+ years of experience with Explosive Ordnance Disposal
• Experience with three or more deployments conducting operations in austere locations
• Experience in military training methods and techniques
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal
• Completion of Certified Military Instructor Training Course

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time readiness and modernization, exercise support and training development
• Implement training on current Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) on standard and non-standard Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) energetic and mechanical tools used during dismounted and mounted operations
• Deliver advanced skills training to EOD technicians
• Develop a trained and ready force that provides freedom of maneuver to supported units

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Curriculum Training Development
• Experience with producing written reports and evaluations
• Experience with advanced electronics
• Experience creating and editing training plans that include implementation and evaluation of EOD tasks, techniques, and procedures used during EOD support operations
• Experience with developing training to accommodate classroom and hands-on, practical individual and collective task training for forces at the operational Platoon and Team level
• Experience planning, developing, executing, and assessing activities within EOD direct action focused exercises, including realistic scenario planning, development, implementation, and execution of exercise tools and controls
• Experience with the employment of traditional tools and explosive systems during EOD support operations in a training environment
• Ability to prepare briefings and present briefings at a company level and higher
• Bachelor’s degree
