Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (environmental science, biology, chemistry, natural resources, ecology or related field)
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a related field or demonstrated capabilities approved by Environmental Services VP
- Minimum of 18 years of environmental experience
Responsibilities
- Identifies, and initiates solutions and programs to resolve highly complex regulatory compliance and management challenges
- Leads, coordinates, and oversees work activities of others within work group, team, or department
- Serves as an internal expert resource in a specialized environmental, technical, or regulatory program area
- Develops, recommends, and implements plans that include all scheduling, resource, and cost information and controls required to address compliance problems
- Identifies, initiates, secures funding for, and leads strategic environmental research projects
- Leads in the preparation and clear, concise, and persuasive presentation of highly complex technical subjects
- Influences the direction of thinking, drives consensus, and initiates changes to environmental policy, strategy, regulations, and standards
- Serves in a leadership position within professional and business environmental regulatory and research organizations
- Possesses the knowledge and experience to make responsible and effective strategic recommendations and decisions
- Supports and, as necessary, leads key business functions of the department

- Registration in recognized associations and organizations for environmental professionals is encouraged
