Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • A passionate commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
  • Strong academic background in environmental management, sustainability, and climate science.
  • Demonstrated interest in water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing sustainable water management solutions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and optimization of water treatment processes.
  • Contribute to water quality monitoring and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with laboratory analysis and environmental field sampling.
  • Contribute to environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports.
  • Support climate change research and adaptation projects.
  • Assist with GHG emissions accounting and reduction strategies.
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to environmental monitoring and compliance.
  • Collaborate on process improvement projects focused on reducing carbon footprint and enhancing energy efficiency at a surface water treatment plant.
  • Work with operations teams assisting in the development of financial reports in support of monthly closing activities aligned to international, regional, legal entity and business line reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a laboratory setting or with collecting environmental field samples is a plus.
  • Knowledge of energy management principles, particularly in the water and wastewater sectors.
  • Familiarity with GHG emissions accounting methodologies.
  • Understanding of ecosystem management principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of water quality parameters and water treatment processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and data analysis techniques.
