Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on site investigation, environmental remediation, and due diligence projects.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (with current 8-hour annual refresher course certification) or willingness to obtain.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Proven well-developed technical writing skills for delivery of project reports, including Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, Remedial Investigation, Feasibility Study, Corrective Action Work Plans and closure documentation.
  • Self-motivated to set appropriate priorities and effectively manage their time to support the success of their team. Shows ability to listen and seeks to understand viewpoints of others.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management includes client-facing communication, workflow schedules, project staffing, subcontractor management, and budget management.
  • Develop scope and fee proposals and communicate directly with clients on project implementation.
  • Manage large and complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Plan and coordinate environmental assessments, remediation, and compliance projects in the field and office.
  • Perform a variety of field work tasks including environmental assessments, soil, vapor and groundwater sampling, site investigations, stormwater sampling, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Field oversight of construction and/or remedial action projects related to cleanup actions, waste management, site development, and/or environmental systems.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports (e.g. phase I ESAs, site characterization, work plans, remedial investigation, feasibility study and other reports) in support of environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects.
  • Technical review of environmental assessments, hydrogeologic studies, landfill monitoring and cleanup projects.
  • Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State of Oregon licensure as a Registered Geologist (RG) or Engineer (PE)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance on a state and federal level and/or out of state is considered
  • Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA and Oregon DEQ regulations
