Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or Science is required; a B.S. in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret process data, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is required.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures is required.
- Proficiency with basic computerized office systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Responsibilities
- Providing facility environmental support under the facility RCRA, NJDEP, and SPCC/DPCC requirements.
- Overseeing multiple contractors and developing good working relationships within the refinery organization, agency regulators, and contract providers.
- Timely preparation and submission of required reports, with coordinated input from relevant areas of expertise.
- Manage and track budgets and expenditures.
- This position includes rotational on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of relevant environmental, refining, petrochemical or chemical industry experience is preferred.
- Previous US DOT HAZMAT Shipping and RCRA Training is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP, Essential Suite, and Enablon is helpful.
