Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- Professional Engineering License required
- 5-10 years of experience required
- Experience with Bentley Microstation required
- Experience with AutoCAD required
- Experience with structural design of electrical substations steel structures and their foundations required
- Experience with the design of utility-scale electrical substation and transmission systems required
- Candidate must be willing to travel
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills required
- Self-motivated and ability to work well with others required
Responsibilities
- Design utility-scale electrical substation and transmission systems
- Responsible for structural design of electrical substations steel structures and their foundations
- Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
- Provides guidance and direction on design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes
- Assists in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards
- Provides technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines
- Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
- Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Promote sales
- Review scope, budget and schedule for project tasks
- Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Preferred Qualifications
- PE License preferred
- Exposure to Business Management Software (SAP/Maximo) is preferred
