Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree and a proven track record in strategic sales, executive relationship management, service delivery and/or the sales of technology products and services.
- Ability to gain new business with a solid understanding of the Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) and BPO environment and up to date on market trends to position SS&Cās programs and solutions effectively to client decision makers.
- Strong sense of urgency, with the drive and knowledge to navigate multi-level relationships with complex customers.
- Deep understanding of needs-based selling strategies and ability to uncover underlying customer objections and concerns.
- Ability to think strategically and create plans unique to a prospect given their situation in the marketplace and business issues.
- Strong analytical thinker with the ability to clearly articulate a value proposition that resonates with a prospect organization and its buyers.
- Thorough understanding of the consultative, customer-focused approach to the sales process.
- Flexibility to travel to clients, business events and other related opportunities, as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Focus on generating new opportunities, executing sales plans and working with SS&C stakeholder groups.
- Creating a comprehensive sales action plan for target markets with associated business plan, solution positioning and knowledge of competition.
- Working with the wider SS&C team to develop specific campaigns and initiatives and facilitate cross-selling, with a view to generating new leads and contacts and building relationships.
- Understanding client needs, strategies and goals in order to recommend and sell appropriate product or professional service solutions to meet client needs.
- Create a stream of qualified new pipeline opportunities and take responsibility for the process of taking the opportunity through to closure in line with the SS&C sales process, including to negotiate and close deals that meet client expectations.
- Developing contact database, relationship plans, and account development plans.
- Being accountable for delivery of an annual revenue target.
- Supporting proposition development by understanding market demands and the competitive landscape.
- Driving market events /sales activity at industry conferences.
- Maintaining and enhancing industry knowledge through training and development.
