Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security system engineering, with a focus on surveillance and access control systems.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with security system software and hardware, such as VMS (Video Management Systems) and NVRs (Network Video Recorders).
- Experience with the build and support of servers, storage and cloud computing for the security systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Proficient in Milestone and LenelS2 or equivalent systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and risk management skills, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to effectively manage projects and organize tasks.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop security and surveillance system architectures, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Implement and configure security systems to meet organizational requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other IT and security professionals to integrate security systems with existing network infrastructure back-end.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on security and surveillance systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems.
- Actively monitor system performance and security alerts, responding promptly to any incidents.
- Perform thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats.
- Lead and manage security infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Ensure all security systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate proactively with other regions to establish a global standard and enhance workflows, statements of work, and related processes.
- Assist in the preparation for budgets for the security systems area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or CompTIA Security+, Milestone, LenelS2 are preferred.
