Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (or equivalent experience) or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Extensive experience in and an in-depth knowledge of Linux and containers
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the implementation, architecture and operation of both on-premises and public cloud Kubernetes environments
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the configuration, management and upgrades of a Kubernetes platform
  • Expertise in Go programming language is required
  • Knowledge of OpenShift, Ceph or ArgoCD an advantage
  • Experience of configuration, enterprise risk requirements and their implementation – experience of AWS/GCP configuration formats and Terraform an advantage
  • CI/CD Development Environments/Tools: Git, GitLab/GitHub
  • Demonstrable experience in setting and meeting project goals when implementing and integrating complex technology concepts
  • Extensive experience with scripting languages

Responsibilities

  • Evolving the Goldman ecosystem enabling CNCF solutions that drive developer efficiency and infrastructure stability
  • Engineering and implementation of components within the Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Integration with on-premise and public-cloud dependencies and services
  • Partnering with application teams to engineer solutions to meet specific requirements
  • Assisting with architecture and design decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GCP and AWS Kubernetes Services (knowledge of OCI and Azure an advantage)
  • CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) would be a significant advantage
  • Some experience of using configuration management tools
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices (e.g. TLS certificates, key management, oAuth, LDAP)
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to learn about the developing container-runtime landscape of components and technologies
