Requirements

  • Bachelors in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Project management and project scheduling skills.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards.
  • Computer aided design skills.
  • End-user computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Locating opportunities for automation in our production facilities and advising project team members.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for assigned projects and manage day-to-day activities of the project team.
  • Evaluating projects from a business viewpoint that reduce manual labor in our production facilities and recommending solutions.
  • Ensure sanitary and cleanability guidelines are followed when appropriate; ensure industry and Schreiber-specific safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Use Schreiber’s project management process to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Monitor projects with overall company objectives in mind.
  • Stay current with new technology and processes that improve Schreiber’s business results and recommend applications for this technology.
  • Develop relationships with integrators and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and procure equipment.
  • Provide guidance during the development of specifications and the selection of vendors and contractors.
  • Devise testing procedures and trials to verify design concepts.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to our internal partners.
  • Develop training programs for plant operators and maintenance team to help ensure project success.
  • Assist the Engineering team leader with requests as required (upper management meetings, personnel, technical reviews, lead engineering sessions, advisory help, customer visits, etc.).
  • Interpret and communicate requirements.
