Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend & web) of 8+ engineers
  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • A customer-centric mindset and will apply that to building out platform services
  • Strong product sense and thought partnership with cross-functional peers
  • Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
  • Humility – willing to get into the details and open to feedback

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of exceptional backend and client-side engineers delivering end-to-end engineering solutions
  • Be the technologist and system thinker who connects the dots between technology and the business and unlocks business opportunities through tech innovation
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team’s roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap
  • Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 8+
  • Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking
  • Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
  • Drive key business metrics such as customer engagement and retention
