Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of project engineering experience in power generation or large industrial energy systems.
- Strong background in the design and construction of utility-scale power plant systems and equipment.
- Technical Proficiency with AutoCAD, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of three regional engineers.
- Provide engineering oversight across 13 facilities operating a total of 39 boilers.
- Develop project scope and technical documentation that includes the Criteria & Basis-of-Design Documents, Major Equipment Specifications, and Bid Evaluations & Technical Recommendations.
- Direct and approve detailed engineering design work conducted by external engineering firms and equipment vendors.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts for capital and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare system layouts, technical proposals, and contractual specifications.
- Contribute to contract negotiations, especially around technical deliverables and guarantees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Waste-to-Energy or solid fuels facilities is highly desirable.
