Requirements
- Preferred master’s degree in mechanical engineering with extensive electrical engineering experience associated with electric power products.
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Experience with Creo Parametric 3D modeling, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, SAP ERP, and Microsoft Office 365 software products.
- Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.
- Experience working directly with customers on the customized product. Experience working with technical sales, sales and dealers/distributors.
- Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
- Ability to effectively influence customer specifications through technical expertise and experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 40+ engineers (including 5 managers) ensuring successful execution of projects, initiatives & processes for reciprocating engine-driven electric power product design and development.
- Monitor and continuously improve product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
- Provide leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies.
- Manage engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with both technical and commercial acumen able to translate direct customer feedback into profitable product designs that exceed customer expectations.
