Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelors or masters Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2025/Spring 2026.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Go, Python or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (e.g., REST APIs, front-end frameworks) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with applied AI/ML, scaling ML use of LLMs.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of scalability, distributed systems, or cloud computing (could be a part of curriculum / coursework).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and implement distributed systems at scale aspects of the cloud based security analytics platform.
  • Investigate and implement ML and AI applications for analytics and simplifying workflows.
  • Help identify and solve scalability issues, ensuring the platform can handle increasing loads and larger customer bases.
  • Tackle complex scalability challenges by proposing innovative and efficient technical solutions.
  • Understanding of front-end and back-end integration, especially in systems that handle large datasets.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Passion and interest in building efficient, highly scalable systems and improving user experience.
  • Be empowered to take ownership of your own summer project where you provide technical solutions for real world problems. You will get to own the design, implementation, and quality of your work.
  • Be an active participant of an existing engineering scrum team. Here you’ll learn Agile development and have daily interactions with your peers.

Preferred Qualifications
