Requirements
- M.S. or PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Structural Engineering, or similar and background of academic excellence
- 0 to 5 years of experience in materials science and engineering
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to travel to remote job sites not accessible by public transportation
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report, if applicable
Responsibilities
- Provide support in selecting materials for structural, mechanical, and building applications
- Conduct failure analysis of metals, concrete, polymers, composites and other structural materials
- Plan and conduct site investigations to document existing conditions
- Prepare and present reports and presentations to clients
- Manage and conduct laboratory tests and analyses
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework in structural mechanics and design is preferred
