Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, engineering management or a relevant field
- 4+ years of experience in body mechanical areas and relevant automotive assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Expert in CATIA V5, including the ability to make 3D parametric models and 2D drawings
- Strong technical skills and expertise to problem-solving
- Ability to lead simultaneous engineering teams
- Good knowledge of MS Office products
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
- The ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the bolt-on-structures to the ladder frame for all new products
- Creating the CAD-Data of the parts (e. g. towing hooks, bolted on structural reinforcements, body-mounts, etc.)
- Optimize the CAD-Data with respect to cost, functionality, weight, and manufacturability
- Define design verification plans and align with the test engineers
- Working together with suppliers and engineering service providers
- Be a part of a diverse team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Develop CAD data for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing
- Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations
- Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly
- Manage resources efficiently including infrastructure, financial, supplier partners and people.
