Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field
- five (5) years of experience writing Python and Linux Shell Scripts
- three (3) years include administering AWS cloud environments as a Solution Architect
- utilizing databases including MongoDB and MySQL to store data
- building CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo
- performing version management and release coordination in a DevOps environment
- one (1) year includes building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Harness
- administering Pivotal Cloud Foundry cloud environments as a SysOps Administrator
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for designing and developing new software and web applications
- write Python, Perl, and Linux Shell Scripts
- build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, Harness, and Github
- perform version management and release coordination in GitOps and DevOps environments
- administer cloud environments, including AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Azure, as a SysOps Administrator or Solution Architect
- use RDK-V and RDK-B to develop software for video and broadband devices, respectively
- utilize databases including Mongo DB and MySQL to store RDK analytics data
- support applications under development and customize current applications
- assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases
- analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications
- document all development activity
- research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports
- monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products
- review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects
- collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
- conduct analysis to determine integration needs
- work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements
- guide and mentor junior-level engineers
