Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
- Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts.
- Overhaul and repair engines or motors; disassemble engines and repair or replace defective parts; reassemble engines and make adjustments as needed; use oxygen-acetylene, electro arc-welding or similar types of equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, maintain and repair engines, and oil and lubricate engine and chassis.
- Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, cylinders, and drive systems.
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
