Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional sales experience
- Proven record of building a book of business
- Experience in employee group benefits sales
- Strong drive for success
- Solid interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to network and maintain long-term, high-quality relationships with clients, business contacts, and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing prospects and appropriate markets to produce new business accounts in accordance with agency and individual goals
- Prospecting by making cold calls, networking with decision makers, and building relationships through community involvement and related activities
- Pursuing growth and business penetration goals by making compelling sales presentations to prospective and existing clients
- Identifying, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with clients, prospective clients, centers of influence in the community and insurance company personnel
- Providing technical expertise and professional proposals and presentations on Benefits products and services offered
- Positively interacting with agency team members to ensure client-focused solutions and services are delivered, including team mentoring and coaching
- Obtaining and maintaining required insurance licenses
