Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Some college course work in Business, Marketing or related.
- At least 3 years’ experience in sales or related.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
- Able to move up to 20 lbs. of benefit materials to deliver to clients.
- Able to travel locally and nationally by car and airplane.
- Able to work irregular hours.
Responsibilities
- Prospects by way of calls, visit, and follow up with contacts at existing and potential clients to market and sell products and services.
- Gathers data from clients and requests proposals from carriers, analyzes proposals, chooses products for presentations, and presents proposals to clients.
- Enrolls employees and explains utilization of product through employee meetings as needed.
- Negotiates with the renewal of contracts on existing accounts by monitoring usage and expenses of products and making recommendation regarding existing plan.
- Interacts with insurance carriers and clients to assist in resolving claim disputes and to answer questions regarding billing and products as needed.
- Assists other SWBC Sales Representatives with technical knowledge of Employee Benefits products.
- Assists in researching new products for the benefit of clients and/or potential clients.
