Requirements
- High school graduation or GED.
- Three years of experience as a journey level electrician.
- Three years of experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies.
- Highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time.
- Attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment.
- Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.
- Able to work under pressure and accept supervision.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical panels, circuits, lighting fixtures, outlets, conduit, transformers and various laboratory equipment.
- Replacement and retro fitting of lamps and fixtures.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, installs and replaces building and electrical equipment at ARL and LTTS.
- Providing electrical support for various research projects.
- Assist other trades and other related functions as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or graduation from vocational or technical training related to electrical trade.
- More than three years of journey-level experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with emphasis on interior renovations, including installation of rigid, EMT, and flexible conduit.
- Licensed as a Master Electrician.
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality work from project drawings, specifications, construction standards, or written-verbal instructions with or without direct supervision.
