Requirements

- High School Diploma (Required)
- Some College is preferred
- Understand and troubleshoot electrical problems
- Understand and work from electrical drawings
- Understand and troubleshoot PLC’s
- Operate, maintain, and repair all power equipment
- Troubleshoot power equipment
- Understand electronic controls and circuits
- Understand & troubleshoot Heating Systems (Hot Oil, Steam, Gas fired, etc.)
- Understand & troubleshoot Cooling Systems
- Understand & troubleshoot Spraybooth Systems
- Maintain RCM Database
- Minor belt repairs (direct replacement)
- Lift equipment battery replacement
- Install and repair motors and wire
- Knowledge and use of pipe fabrication
- Installation and maintenance of high- and low-pressure systems
- Repair and maintenance of pumps, plumbing devices, traps, mechanical seals, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
- Knowledge and use of lubrication of machines and equipment
- Understand and follow lubrication schedules
- Knowledge and use of blueprints for machines and equipment
- Knowledge and use of rigging
- Drive and operate crane
- Welding
- Repair belts
- Laser alignment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
- Be proactively involved with all aspects of safety
- Perform routine tasks without requiring direction from supervision
- Train others in skilled trades
- Read, understand, and follow written area safety rules, operating procedures, procedures, and policies
- Use SAP System to receive work orders, order spare parts and enter equipment history into system
- Involved in Planning and Scheduling System
- Involved in predictive/preventive nondestructive techniques and improving equipment reliability
- Perform Housekeeping tasks (5S) in the work area (Shop & your Jobs)
- Assist other trades and contractors
- Review work orders
- Add additional information to each work order to fully define the job scope
- Make a field review of the equipment involved for each work order to determine total scope of work
- Evaluate the work to determine whether it should be performed by plant personnel or by contractor
- Participate in the evaluation of the equipment problem so repairs can prevent future failures
- Calculate and estimate total cost for each work order
- Prepare or obtain sketches and / or drawings as necessary
- Prepare list of parts, materials, safety equipment, tools, cranes, rigging, etc., that are needed for each job
- Provide necessary procedures and / or documentation
- Organize materials kit for each job
- Meet with Maintenance Area Leaders and Maintenance Coordinators
- Recommend spare parts to be stocked for future work
- Write job plans and maintain job plan libraries
- Possess knowledge of: Plant process and support equipment and related components, Inspection, overhaul, and repair methods for industrial equipment, SAP work order system, Supplemental maintenance contracts, Purchase requisitions, Storeroom items and availability, Engineering standards and practices, Work permits, safety permits and safety procedures and practices, Preventive maintenance programs, Specialized maintenance tools and equipment
