Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in consumer electronics or equivalent high volume industry
- Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals as well as experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent
- Experience with electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, probes, logic analyzers…)
- Experience designing, measuring and debugging low and high speed communication interfaces, such as I2C, UART, SPI, MIPI, USB and PCIe
Responsibilities
- Own electrical development of highly complex subsystems or moderately complex systems under the direction of a technical lead
- Design schematics, direct board layout, conduct design reviews and draft design documentations
- Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and components. Propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance and functionalities
- Hands-on board bring up and debug, support manufacturing and assembly build, using state-of-the-art laboratory and tools
- Establish and conduct collaborations with internal and external technology partners and vendors
- Apply novel engineering solution to challenging power, size, and thermal requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- MS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of industry experience in electrical design
- Experience with power supply design and DC/DC converters
- Experience with basic programming skills in languages such as Python or Matlab, including data analysis, scripting, and automation
- Experience in analog and digital design simulation
- Experience in display electrical subsystem design, testing, and system integration
- Experience with sensors, such as cameras, lidars, proximity sensors, microphones, IMUs, and depth sensors
- Experience of designing electrical systems with very hard power, weight, thermal and compute constraints
- Experience with EMI and ESD risks and mitigation techniques
- Experience with battery-powered low-power systems
