Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in consumer electronics or equivalent high volume industry
  • Proven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals as well as experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent
  • Experience with electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, probes, logic analyzers…)
  • Experience designing, measuring and debugging low and high speed communication interfaces, such as I2C, UART, SPI, MIPI, USB and PCIe

Responsibilities

  • Own electrical development of highly complex subsystems or moderately complex systems under the direction of a technical lead
  • Design schematics, direct board layout, conduct design reviews and draft design documentations
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and components. Propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance and functionalities
  • Hands-on board bring up and debug, support manufacturing and assembly build, using state-of-the-art laboratory and tools
  • Establish and conduct collaborations with internal and external technology partners and vendors
  • Apply novel engineering solution to challenging power, size, and thermal requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of industry experience in electrical design
  • Experience with power supply design and DC/DC converters
  • Experience with basic programming skills in languages such as Python or Matlab, including data analysis, scripting, and automation
  • Experience in analog and digital design simulation
  • Experience in display electrical subsystem design, testing, and system integration
  • Experience with sensors, such as cameras, lidars, proximity sensors, microphones, IMUs, and depth sensors
  • Experience of designing electrical systems with very hard power, weight, thermal and compute constraints
  • Experience with EMI and ESD risks and mitigation techniques
  • Experience with battery-powered low-power systems
