Electrical Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Six or more years of relevant experience
Experience working with ladder control diagrams
Working knowledge of National Electrical Code and motor circuit design
Comprehensive understanding of electrical power systems, theory, and analysis
10 or more years of relevant experience (for Facilities Electrical Design Engineer Staff IV)

Provides engineering services for the electrical design of Building Construction Projects
Works as part of project team to create a conceptual plan and statement of work for new building or modification projects
Attends pre-construction meetings to emphasize any important electrical issues such as equipment lead time, power outages, electrical submittals, installation methods or special applications
Consults with the Safety Department on matters regarding code compliance
Provides electrical facilities engineering support to analyze and evaluate existing site and building power distribution and general systems to provide improvement to existing electrical systems
Forecasts future electrical needs
