EJD Supply Chain Planner

Minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience or a two year degree in a related field plus 1-2 years of transportation, warehouse and project management.
Knowledge of RSC operations specific but not limited to outbound.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse customer base, troubleshooting, multi-tasking, and functioning fairly independently.
Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Demonstrated initiative in researching and resolving customer issues/questions.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment in a changing environment.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
Familiar with Hazard Materials information and regulations.
Professional ability to communicate at all levels of organization.
Ability to clearly communicate issue resolution to internal and external partners.

Balance transportation cost and service by determining appropriate mode of transportation while aligning with the needs of customers.
Update Traffic Management System (TMS) for compliance and accuracy, i.e. carrier tariffs and rate structures, preferred routing tables, vendor and RSC operational rules, etc.
Process Improvement – Identify opportunities and make suggestions to improve efficiencies within the transportation and distribution network.
Key point of contact for load status requests from stakeholders (RSC’s, TM’s, CC, 3rd party carriers).
Responsible to provide professional timely service to Emery Jensen retailers and Territory Managers.
Analyze compliance and exception reporting to appropriately escalate issues with suggested resolutions.
Executes and creates operational relationship with transportation providers. Responsible to identify savings in the process. Stay up to date with industry trends and suggest alternatives that will eliminate waste from the process.
