BA Degree in Environmental or Safety
3+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong organization and analytical skills to organize, analyze, and disseminate EHS information
Excellent verbal, written and persuasive skills to interact with line employees and management
Work well independently and as part of a team, remotely and in person
Proficiency with Excel, Word, SharePoint

Ensure full implementation and visibility of the company’s injury and illness and incident prevention program to help identify and mitigate hazards
Investigate serious incidents, accidents and injuries and notify management of pertinent details
Acts as company representative in dealing with government agencies on EHS matters
Ensure compliance with site permits (stormwater discharge and well water withdrawal) and written site environmental plans (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and Spill Control and Counter Measures Plan)
Manage and coordinate site’s Emergency Response Plan with site personnel as well as outside agencies such as local fire, EMS and police departments
Coordinate waste management activities within the site and treat storage and disposal facilities and identify waste minimization opportunities for the site
Develop and implement EHS training programs based on site procedures, practices, regulatory requirements, and incident prevention
Ensure training calendar is updated and training is tracked for each individual at the site based on their specific job requirements
Assist with the development of employee safety recognition programs
Help drive housekeeping and organization through 5S program
