Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student in a relevant discipline.
- Basic understanding of federal and state equivalent programs for occupational health and safety
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain good attendance habits
- Excellent written communications and thorough detail in documentation completion
Responsibilities
- Support the EHS team in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, participating in various projects, and contributing to the development and implementation of safety and environmental programs.
- Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with and support data gathering, collection, and analysis.
- Support the development and updating of EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Help in tracking and analyzing EHS metrics and preparing reports for management.
- Participate in incident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Assist in coordinating and conducting EHS training sessions for employees.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, recycling programs, and energy conservation efforts.
- Assist in maintaining EHS records, permits, and documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in cross-function teams to drive improvements across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned by EHS Manager and/or EHS Coordinator.
