Requirements
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field: Environmental, Chemical, or relevant sciences field like chemistry with emphasis on Environmental, Health and Safety.
- 3+ years of combined experience in: Environmental regulations, sampling, emission data analysis, and report writing.
- Environmental, health and safety field.
- Federal/State regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater and/or RCRA.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, coordination, continuous improvement and management of site environmental programs, such as waste, ground and surface water, air emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, noise etc.
- Responsible for responsibility for the compliance of all applicable environmental regulations, government requirements and Intel policies for air and or water, waste, or other environmental programs.
- Play a key role in sustaining the site Environmental Management System and compliance with the site Environmental License and ISO14001 standard.
- Understand how all environmental programs work by supporting the existing Environmental Engineer at the site with a view to becoming a primary owner for one or more of the environmental media programs, with additional responsibility as secondary owner for other programs.
- Influence organizations to maintain environmental performance and limit Intel’s environmental footprint.
- Team with other EHS professionals on a site, regional and global level to share learnings, increase innovation and drive synergy throughout Intel.
- Partner with site, regional and global stakeholders to increase environmental awareness, tracking, analyzing and reporting environmental indicators and driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare and submit required environmental reports, indicators, permit applications and modifications with high degree of quality.
- Interface with appropriate regulatory agencies. Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and engineering judgment.
- Support accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and define focus areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in Environmental, Health and Safety related field
- Knowledge of California and Bay Area regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater and/or Waste.
- Experience within the Semiconductor industry.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies as either a consultant or regulated source.
