Responsibilities
- Define and uphold the editorial vision and quality standards of the Cloudflare Blog
- Be the final decision-maker on what gets published
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product leaders to tell their stories
- Edit each submission for clarity, tone, and resonance with a technical audience
- Offer thoughtful, constructive feedback to help authors grow as communicators
- Manage and balance the editorial calendar to ensure a steady cadence of high-impact posts
- Actively scout great stories across the company and encourage authorship
- Support Cloudflare’s Innovation Weeks by helping identify, elevate, and shape stories for publication
- Represent Cloudflare at relevant events, conferences, or panels as a leader in technical storytelling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a journalist or editor at a tech-focused publication
- Background in engineering or technical writing within a software company
- A strong portfolio of published work, especially technical or developer-focused content
- Proven ability to translate complex topics into engaging, digestible narratives
