Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- At least one (1) year experience as an EKG Technician, Nursing Attendant or equivalent
- Certification in one of the following required: EKG/Arrhythmia certificate, Medical technician certificate, EMT/Paramedic certificate
- Must achieve competency in all performance functions (i.e. Telemetry, phlebotomy,) within probationary period
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic patient care and assist with daily living activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Collect data elements and communicate observations and information obtained using various methods and tools to the Registered Nurse (including but not limited to vital signs, surveillance of telemetry, perform EKG’s, glucose by finger stick)
- Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
- Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care
