Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training
Responsibilities
- triaging patients (rooming, undressing, placing patient on cardiac monitor, obtaining BP, temperature, blood sugar via the glucometer, etc.)
- answering call lights
- helping with various procedure set-ups while maintaining sterile fields (central lines, wound kits, gynecology, etc.)
- cleans and dresses wounds, and I&D’s
- assists with casting & splinting
- fits patients with various devices such as (slings, cam boots, walkers, stretchers, etc.)
- collects swabs such as flu & strep
- transporting patients (CT, Ultrasound, MRI and/or inpatient units, etc.)
- performs EKG’s as requested
- assist with all resuscitations in addition to either performing Foleys & urine catheters or phlebotomy
