Requirements
- Proven experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) software, particularly in managing billing and patient workflows.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices; certification in medical billing is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payment issues.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in cosmetic or elective procedure billing and administration.
- Knowledge of insurance claims processes and common reasons for denials.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration or revenue cycle management role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient records specific to cosmetic services within the eClinicalWorks platform.
- Configure and manage cosmetic procedure templates, billing codes, and workflows in eClinicalWorks.
- Train staff on using eClinicalWorks efficiently for scheduling, documentation, and billing related to cosmetic services.
- Ensure all cosmetic services are billed accurately and promptly within eClinicalWorks.
- Review claims for completeness, identify errors, and submit corrections to avoid rejections.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and patients to verify coverage and handle billing inquiries.
- Investigate unpaid bills for cosmetic services and identify the root causes of delays or denials.
- Communicate with payers (insurance companies, patients, or other parties) to resolve outstanding issues and secure payment.
- Keep a log of reasons for unpaid bills, analyze trends, and recommend solutions to reduce payment delays.
- Liaise with the finance and administrative teams to ensure alignment on billing and collections processes.
- Stay updated on eClinicalWorks updates and cosmetic billing regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Provide weekly reports on unpaid bills and progress on resolution efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in medical billing is a plus.
