Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and leading programs with large number of various stakeholders.
- Adeptness with large scale event planning with precise attention to detail.
- Proven project management and organizational skills with ability to lead small groups and committees.
- Experience with career management platforms and/or applicant tracking systems.
- Experience with database or customer relationship management (CRM) platform, and/or ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Independent decision making and problem-solving ability. Excellent professional judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate delicate matters to wide audiences.
- Experience with client-facing role; ability to motivate and persuade others to action.
- Active listening and customer service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for all hiring and industry partners, providing them with effective and ethical recruitment strategy recommendations.
- Design and implement outreach campaigns to identify new potential businesses and key contacts, particularly in industries with sparse representation.
- Communicate recruiting guidelines and policies to ensure adherence to ECAC’s standards and expectations of employer behavior (or employment practices).
- Manage ECAC-led and ECAC co-led career fairs, the largest of which hosts 300+ employers and 3000+ students.
- Serve as liaison between employer partners and other UT offices, including, but not limited to: individual academic departments, development office, campus career centers, Dean’s office, etc.
- Collaborate on employer-led events such as lobby days, info sessions, lunch n’ learns, and others with emphasis on customer service and relationship retention.
- Oversee collection and tracking of employer engagement and recruitment data, including consultations, engagements, and outcomes.
- Manage and support employer relations team with their duties and responsibilities; conduct performance evaluations annually.
- Represent ECAC and the Cockrell School at events, committee meetings, and work-groups.
- Attend conferences and professional development meetings pertinent to creating recruiting connections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree and/or relevant certifications in recruiting and human resources.
- Experience in university career services, early career/university recruitment, corporate human relations, talent acquisition, or workforce development in relevant industry.
- Understanding of employment market trends and employer needs within context of university/early-career recruiting.
- Familiarity with US Department of Labor federal laws/regulations and work authorization statuses.
