Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field (Systems, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical) or 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in aviation/aircraft systems work
- Demonstrated work on aircraft avionic systems
- Familiar with MECSIP and EWIS systems
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain a secret security clearance
- Use of MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Responsibilities
- Main focus on support on aircraft avionics; hardware design and integration
- Provide support to the E-3 Mechanical Equipment and Subsystems Integrity Program (MECSIP) and Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS)
- Provide specific support in weapon systems requirements definitions, development, integration, obsolescence and modernization efforts.
- Experienced and successful at solving complex engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customer
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
- Clearly articulate recommendations and provide support to the E-3 SPO
Preferred Qualifications
- Specific USAF aircraft experience; preferably E-3
- SPO experience or equivalent experience in commercial realm
- Masters’ Degree in technical discipline
- Knowledge of Tinker AFB and its mission is a plus
