Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- 3-5 years of driving experience
- Will be required to obtain Driving School licensing by the state, including to take and pass a physical exam as required by the DMV
- Will be required to pass a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
- Conduct behind-the-wheel training to drivers of all ages and experience levels as prescribed by the AAA Driving School curriculum and training program.
- Utilize driving school software to record and maintain student progress.
- Evaluate student’s performance and provide additional support as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of safe driving and defensive driving practices and maintain all records required by the state of California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in driving instruction, teaching, education, or the automotive industry.
- Confidence in interacting well with the public and teens specifically.
- Strong motivation to improve safe driving practices of all drivers.
- Flexibility to accommodate the availability of students, including working weekday schedules starting as late as 12 pm and teaching on at least one weekend day per week.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle, see and hear during all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, touch and reach, and lift up to 25lbs.
