Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle
- Moderate computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn other programs
- Ability to effectively build a rapport with others
- Good communication skills
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Organizational and time management skills
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- HAZMAT Certification
- General knowledge of vehicles and parts
Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up parts that are ordered for this location or ordered by another local body shop, garage, dealership, etc.
- Responsible for loading and unloading deliveries when possible
- Greet guests, employees and visitors with a smile in a friendly manner
- Fulfill commitments
- Assist guests anytime and anywhere in the dealership
- Insure guests have a surprisingly great experience
- Act, speak, dress and behave professionally at all times
- Anticipate the guests needs by listening and asking clarifying questions
- Plan, organize and maintain efficient work flow
- Minimize distractions
- Refrain from conducting personal business (Facebook, twitter, texting, phone calls during shop hours)
- Know product inventory
- Work as a team with parts manager, parts stocker and parts delivery
- Insure the right parts are picked up from other locations
- Correctly and Efficiently Load, Unload and Deliver Parts
- Deliver parts ordered by other shops, dealerships, etc
- Insure the right parts are loaded onto the delivery truck
- Pick up parts from other shops, dealerships, etc
- Communicate any issues with parts delivery or pick up
- Dress and Act Professionally
- Mentor and assist team members
- Maintain shop cleanliness
- Drive in a safe manner obeying all traffic laws
- Lift and carry objects according to safety procedures
- Wear slip resistant shoes
- Ask for assistance when lifting and/or carrying heavy objects
- Keep shop clean and free from slip, trip and other hazards
- Operate a phone, computer and other general office equipment
- Work with the public in a professional and guest centric manner
- Listen to guests and understand what they are saying
- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
- Answer questions regarding vehicles, the dealership and service
- Know the features of the vehicles and be able to accurately and clearly communicate them to a guest base from a broad range of backgrounds
