Distributor Stock Specialist – Cooper Lighting Solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and experience within the lighting, electrical, or industrial industries preferred
• Sales experience and successful identifying new business opportunities
• A track record of delivering results and success meeting and exceeding sales targets
• High level of organizational and multitasking skills and able to work independently
• Must reside in the Salt Lake City, UT, area and can travel up to 50%
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Achieve stock sales goals and implement sales plans, programs, and initiatives within assigned sales territory and/or accounts to distributor partners and contractors. Ensure messaging at the branch level.
• Increase demand and stock sales through assigned electrical distributors with inventory management, local and national product promotions, and merchandising account management.
• Lead sales training initiatives to increase product knowledge with channel inside and counter sales staff, including key contractors in the market. Develop solid relationships with individual contractors and at the assigned distributor level to grow demand.
• Provide pre- and post-order stock support and order management in coordination with the Commercial & Industrial District Sales Manager.
• Implement plans incorporating distributor counter and inside personnel, agency, and lighting sales teams; track progress to meet expected growth goals in all coordinated activities.
