Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Excellent leadership and people skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Above average computer skills
- Must be able to oversee multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly
- 4+ years of successful management or assistant management in a distribution center
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the distribution center, including physical assets, operating costs, safety, loss prevention, inventory integrity, and team members.
- Responsible for managing all distribution center expenses and for approval and sign-off of all expenses.
- Responsible for the service to our stores by maintaining on time delivery, accuracy of shipments and good customer relations.
- Ensure that the distribution center is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
- Responsible for the management of all salary and hourly team members.
- Provide excellent leadership, training, and guidance throughout the DC and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.
- Work with Regional DC Director to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing those goals.
- Work closely with Human Resources team to support team members and others as needed to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
- Responsible for on time evaluations of all team members.
- Work with Regional DC Director to prepare annual operating, labor, and capital expenditure budgets.
- Ensure a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risk and risk related costs.
- Other duties needed to meet DC and corporate objectives as assigned by the Regional DC Director and Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or logistics certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
