Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing robust and scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions on GCP utilizing services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Data Fusion, Dataproc, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and distribution of data from various sources.
  • Developing and enforcing data governance policies, data quality standards, and data security protocols.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable data models.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture, especially within the GCP ecosystem.
  • Mentoring and guide junior data team members on data architecture principles and GCP services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience working as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data solutions on GCP, including deep familiarity with services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Data Fusion, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer and Cloud Architect Certifications
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with at least one programming language like Python or Java.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
