Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in IT operations leadership, ideally across distributed or multi-site media organizations.
- Deep understanding of broadcast and newsroom technology workflows, including production, transmission, and content distribution.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale budgets, IT performance metrics, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to build relationships across matrixed organizations—including shared services, local stations, and corporate leadership.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, contract negotiations, and enterprise support models.
- Executive communication skills and a strategic mindset with hands-on operational execution.
- Ability to lead through change and ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct IT operations strategy and execution across all FOX Television Stations, including duopolies in key markets like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
- Align enterprise initiatives with local technology needs, ensuring both scalability and flexibility across diverse station environments.
- Oversee a multi-million-dollar IT operations budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for infrastructure, support services, and special projects.
- Lead forecasting, financial planning, and cost optimization strategies in collaboration with finance and technology leadership.
- Serve as a key partner to local station leaders—including General Managers and Technical Operations heads—ensuring IT services are responsive to editorial and production needs.
- Lead engagement with external vendors, service providers, and integration partners across the full technology stack.
- Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are defined, measured, and met consistently.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level reporting on IT service delivery, incident management, and system uptime.
- Champion continuous improvement and process standardization across support workflows and incident response.
- Direct IT support strategies for remote news coverage, major community events, and field-based productions.
- Ensure technical readiness and remote collaboration tools for distributed newsroom teams across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in shared services or enterprise technology within a media company.
- Knowledge of station licensing, regulatory requirements, or newsroom system integrations.
- PMP, ITIL, or related certifications.
- Familiarity with content management systems, newsroom automation, or remote contribution tools.
