Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Strong background in game protection, investigative procedures, and team leadership within a resort or casino setting
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of gaming regulations
- Exceptional investigative skills with a focus on detecting fraud and compliance risks
- Highly detail-oriented and analytical
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with internal teams, regulators, and law enforcement
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage surveillance operations across gaming machines, video monitoring, lottery, cage booth cashiers, simulcast operations, and audio/visual recording of count room activities
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations by cooperating with the local Gaming Commission and external agencies
- Lead internal audits of the Surveillance Room, ensuring adherence to gaming and internal controls
- Provide direct leadership by fostering a team-oriented environment, offering performance feedback, and ensuring employee recognition, development, and succession planning
- Manage the Surveillance team, including hiring, training, coaching, issuing commendations and discipline, and delegating assignments
- Develop and maintain budgets and Capital Expenditure Requests for the department, ensuring resource efficiency
- Evaluate and enhance surveillance systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
- Ensure all surveillance equipment is fully operational and up to date, managing repairs and replacements as necessary
- Review daily activity reports and direct asset protection efforts, creating detailed logs and reports for senior leadership
- Conduct investigations utilizing all available surveillance systems and maintain electronic files and surveillance documentation for future reference
