Requirements
- Extensive experience in consumer analytics to drive thought leadership initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience increasingly senior roles in one or more of the industries served by the DM sector and/or financial services, or in consulting firms serving these industries, with a focus on quantitative consumer behavioral analysis. Experience in the telecommunications/ wireless industry is a plus.
- Degree in business, statistics, operations research, finance, economics, or another related field.
- Innate, unquenchable curiosity to understand why consumers and organizations behave the way they do.
- Senior leader and can drive complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing a team of contributors to an initiative and maintaining their enthusiasm, even when they don’t report to you.
- Skilled at evaluating data and summary statistics to find the underlying insights, and to guide a research project in the most fruitful direction. It is a big plus if you can actually perform analysis yourself, with experience manipulating large datasets using SAS, R, Python or other analytical software.
- Expert with the Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Comfortable discussing concepts at all levels of an organization, from entry-level analyst to CEO/Director. You have the ability to tailor your conversational approach to the audience—technical where you need to be, and strategic where appropriate, but always aimed at answering the business question.
Responsibilities
- Drive research and analysis projects around complex market trends, including ideation, study design, results analysis and final publication.
- Evaluate consumer dynamics and their impact on customer needs and behaviors, translating insights into actionable strategies and revenue-generating solution sets.
- Speak on behalf of TransUnion to share insights at conferences and industry events.
- Drive thought leadership as a TransUnion spokesperson to media outlets.
- Author articles based on research for publication in industry-specific journals.
- Help lead the development and ongoing execution of one or more Advisory Boards, consisting of 10-14 senior leaders of public sector organizations (customers and prospects) who provide insights and guidance on industry trends, TransUnion research studies and new product concepts.
- Support sales teams through consulting as a consumer finance and industry expert, helping clients identify and address emerging challenges and opportunities in the marketplace.
- Educate/inform both internal TransUnion management and customers regarding the impact of industry dynamics on customers and TransUnion clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the telecommunications/ wireless industry is a plus.
